I really loved his music. I remember going to see the original Fleetwood Mac at the Nags Head in Battersea when I was 17. He was a great guitarist and vocalist. So, so sad to hear this. He was one of the greatest guitarists of his time and a beautiful lyricist. Man of the World would touch anyone who had a heart. He was certainly a troubled soul but people loved him if he did but know it. The world is a poorer place without him. R. I. P. Peter. RIP I’m a big fan of pre-Nicks/Buckingham FM. Then Play On, Future Games, Kiln House. They had a profound influence on my playing and writing. I remember seeing Chicken Shack opening for Savoy Brown in a small club in Boston, must have been around ’71.

Wonderful musician. Had the Fleetwood mac she rules her life like a bird in flight signatures shirt good fortune to see him live a few years ago. He could say more with a few notes than most of his contemporaries could in a half-hour solo. There would not have been Fleetwood Mac without him. Such a shame such talent was spoiled by drugs. But his legacy lives on.
He was my guitar hero. What a maestro. When I was 15 and Albatross was top of the charts I thought that his guitar playing was out of this world. I can’t believe he has gone. Another great leaves us. I’m going to have a few cans of beer now and listen to him play ‘Shake your moneymaker’.
