Emily Chase No matter how much this guy sucks, do we really believe in this? Fifteen years of I may not be in Iowa I’ll always an Iowa girl no matter where I am shirt someone’s life? I would never associate with this person, and I STILL disagree with taking someone’s freedom away for that long, for that crime. We are too eager to jail people in the US. He wasn’t just burning a flag as a political statement. He threatened people in a club until he got himself kicked out, committed B&E – at a church, no less – and than burned a STOLEN flag. And then he pled guilty. He didn’t even try to get a lighter sentence. Does anyone read anymore?? This guy is a recidivist and that’s why he got that sentence. For those of you who are too lazy (and by the responses, there are a lot of you) recidivist is someone who, in this case, consistently breaks the law or consistently commits the same crime. Read the story people!!!

Like… bit much right? But sorta makes sense when you read into it. It sounds extremely excessive but I would like to know what the habitual offender part entails. That could be a key factor in sentencing. We really should take prison reform more seriously as a nation.
